Finishing well will not happen without a fight, and God is the decisive finisher who will powerfully work in us so that he alone gets the glory.

The gospel is the greatest news in the world and the most loving truth we can share. We never have to be ashamed of its message.

Grace pays the debt we owe God for stealing his glory. And now we owe the gospel to any who still need God’s grace.

The great aim of our ministry should be the same as Paul’s: to bring about the obedience of faith for the sake of God’s glory.

God changes our hearts, sustains in faith, and brings us all the way home, all because of his sovereign, unquenchable commitment to do his covenant people good.

To delight in God is to bring him the glory he deserves. He gets glory; we get satisfaction — all when our joy runs deep in God.

God is no idolater; he lives for the fame of his own name. And the ultimate goal for all God’s people is to glorify him by enjoying him forever.

If you’re a Christian, you have only come to faith because God called you. And if he called you, then you can be sure that he has a very special love for you.

Who we are as Christians is ultimately based not on us, but on the work of another — he who calls us.

Every ounce of grace that enables faith and empowers our obedience comes to us through the finished work of Jesus Christ.

The gospel is not novel or new, but rooted in God’s eternal decree to purchase a people for himself and keep them forever.
