How does one turn into a villain? In this episode,  I was joined by Evan Ratliff, an American journalist, and author, to talk about his book, The Mastermind, A True Story of Murder, Empire, and a New Kind of Crime Lord.What is fascinating about his book, and his reporting is that Paul Le Roux, is like the criminal and crime lord equivalent of Elon Musk, where he is tech savvy, and well-versed in technology, and engineering!And at the same time, he also fits into the "Villini's Journey Arc", where he was a genuine and kind-hearted guy,  but due to some obstacles, he turned 180 and started falling into the path of the villain! Aren't you tired of all the robocalls? All the phone calls that claimed to be from IRS, student loan forgiveness, and especially those about the extended car warranty? In 2021, there are  59.4 million Americans have lost money to scam callers and lost a total amount of roughly $29.8 billion! Naturally, Jay The Producer also got the scam call claiming to be from Student Loan Forgiveness Program and the Extended Car Warranty Program (even though he did not own a car!) Imagine a company just got offered 40 Million Dollars, MILLION, and the owner refused to sell it because he wanted to "grow and scale" the company. What do people normally do when they were 12 years old?
