This Kingdom, as demonstrated most vividly in the life of Christ, chafes against so many of the established patterns and structures in the world; even in those patterns and structures that have been established in the name of "religion". Jesus uses two analogies to highlight these conflicting realities in the time of his earthly ministry - an unshrunk patch of cloth on an old garment and new wine being poured into new wineskins. Join us as Pastor Jeremy explores the tensions of the old and new wineskins.

Pastor Nathan Carroll leads us in a time of reflection on the reality of God's kingdom in and around us as well as a celebration of Christian Community.

In Mark 2:13-17 we are introduced to two very different groups of people - Pharisees and Tax Collectors.  Jesus' interactions with these two groups (who avoided each other like the plague) reveal some very scandalous aspects of God's heart and kingdom.  Join us as Pastor Matt opens up the word and Jon Bauer leads us in worship.

The Kingdom Arrives Against All Odds.  As we begin to march towards Christmas, we continue to explore Mark's gospel, looking at Jesus' encounter with a man with leprosy (Mark 1:40-45).  Though the story is short - it is HUGE in significance as it paints an incredible picture of the salvation that God intends to make available to everyone.  Join Pastor Jeremy as he teaches from this passage and as we, in response, celebrate communion and the first lighting of the advent candle.

The inner life of Jesus was shaped profoundly through time invested in solitude and silence.  Pastor Jeremy leads us through Mark 1:35-39 and the poser of this ancient discipline in the work of spiritual formation.

Pastor Lisa Peters teaches us about Mark 1:21-34, through this passage we see that Jesus has all undisputed authority; when He speaks the enemy listens. He touches and people are healed.

Pastor Jeremy Peters teaches us about the call to apprentice with Jesus that is being issued to each one of us, and as a church leadership, we try to put disproportionate emphasis on all that this means.  We will be studying Mark 1:16-20 this weekend as we continue our pursuit of Christlikeness.

Significant preparation and spiritual formation is required in order for us to be fully available to God's call on our lives.  As Pastor Jeremy Peters helps us explore Mark 1:9-13, we see in the life of Jesus the shape this preparation took and the insight it provides for us in our own journeys with Him.
