    Allan Legere escaped from a bathroom at a Canadian Hospital after being convicted of a crime he says he did not commit.The killer had been transported to the hospital for an ear infection from prison where he was serving a life sentence for the brutal murder of convenience store owner John Glendenning. Legere would be on the run for seven months, during which time he went on a frantic crime spree that resulted in the deaths of four people and the sexual assaulted of a fifth.     On May 12, 2015, 90 year old William MacDonald died in the secure wing of Prince of Wales Hospital in Sydney, Australia. At the time of his death he was the longest serving prisoner in a New South Wales Prison, however beyond aficionados of true crime, very few know his name or of the heinous crimes he committed that gave him the name “The Sydney Mutilator”. Yet the strange way in which he was caught, should give him a greater place in infamy.     Thor Nis Christiansen was an American serial killer who murdered at least four people between 1976 and 1979 in California. His method was to shoot his victims dead so he could then have sex with their dead bodies. At the time, the case created huge outrage and on his sentence to life imprisonment he feared for his life. The threats were in fact real and after only a few months in Folsom State Prison he was stabbed to death in the exercise yard in March 1981.
