The tale of Steve Wiebe vs. Billy Mitchell is a funny, poignant David vs. Goliath story that goes far beyond video game scores. Steve Wiebe's story is a touching narrative about the everyday man who everyone can relate to, taking on a hot sauce king who happens to hold the record for the best Donkey Kong score. But like Bill Belichick, he's a shady sportsman who embarks on cheating tactics to win. You don't have to like video games to like this movie. Just enjoy the underdog story about a man trying to find something in life he can accomplish, versus the man who lives like a tycoon, worshipped by his friends within his little cocoon community.

Writer/Director/Star Sujewa Ekanayake comes out with a sequel to his quirky "The Secret Society for Slow Romance" with "Cosmic Disco Detective Rene." The film follows a Detective getting in touch with beings capable of time travel by listening to Disco music. Through his incredible detective skills, Rene is able to communicate with the time-traveling beings and bring a sense of peace to the planet. "Cosmic Disco Detective Rene" is a fun conversation on the things that interest its director more than telling a dramatic story. It's a lighthearted, slow cinema commentary on the state of cinema and love for independent film. Nothing is meant to be taken seriously, and the firm's dry style allows the viewer to relax among its many long takes between scenes. It's not meant to entice the viewer with high production value, more than it is designed to present a sense of calm. Godzilla Minus One is the most terrifying, intelligent, and meaningful Godzilla film since its 1954 original. Writer/Director Takashi Yamazaki makes a film about the results of the atomic bomb creating a monster who's an allegory for man's unwavering ability to commit self-destruction. He's an unkillable beast that is a terrifyer. Yamazaki gets back to the root of who Godzilla is and why he is. He isn't the hero who fights bad monsters to keep humanity safe. He's a genocidal maniac that only exists to kill. It's a film that's not only about the monster but the humans he affects. They're not stock characters like the ones you'd find in the American films. Koichi Shikishima (Ryunosuke Kamikin) is a soldier who doesn't carry out his ultimate duty. His journey of learning who he is through courage and a determination to kill Godzilla makes him a very human character affected by the behemoth's bloodshed. Shikishima's narrative resembles what many of the Japanese soldiers during World War II must have felt. Que
