The gang is back with more of their original thoughts and shenannigans for week 2 of "We Just Spittin'".

JT takes a look at some of the big matchups in college football, previews the World Series, and takes a trip around the NFL, including what is wrong with the Buccaneers and Packers.

It's almost basketball season!! This week, Corrine gets a chance to visit with Jennies head coach Dave Slifer and redshirt sophomore guard Lauren Frost.  And, as always, she takes a spin around UCM Athletics

This week, Dr. Joe Moore interviews Abram to interview the UCM-The Beat news director to our audience.  Abram shares the stories of members of the UCM community each week.  This week it is time to learn more about Abram.

Radio dramas are almost as old as the radio medium, dating over 100 years old.  Students in the audio production courses at the University of Central Missouri learn all aspects of radio drama, including script writing, foley art, and sound mixing.  In "Central Storytellers", we share some of their work.

This week Ben visits with THRIVE student mentor Sierra Grant.  Sierra is a senior social work major at UCM.

Once again, Collin Sumler takes us on a look around the NFL.

No, we aren't talking about chewin' tobacco or expectorating. Just a clever way for the students in the UCM intro to sports broadcasting course to say they are discussing anything and everything. "We Just Spittin'" airs every Tuesday at 5 p.m.

The intro to sports broadcasting students at the University of Central Missouri are at it again as they share their thoughts on building a more successful broadcast.

This week on "Just Talkin' Sports", JT recaps the marquee match ups from college football, addresses the MLB division series, and examined the Chiefs-Bills and Eagles-Cowboys games.

Time for a little cross country!  Corrine is back and she sits down with UCM head cross country coach Kirk Pedersen and Mules sophomore Bryan O'Barr.

This week Ben visits with Paige Shinn, a senior psychology major who serves as a THRIVE mentor.

Our topic this week on “Sports Talk” is “Should transgender athletes be required to compete according to their birth assigned gender, or should they be allowed to compete as they identify?”  This is a very sensitive subject; it’s become a heated and sometimes ugly debate in politics. But it is one, as sports reporters, we must address.

JT hits on last week's matchups in college football, the MLB Wild Card round, and NFL news, including Matt Rhule and roughing the passer.

Abram is joined in this episode by Ethan Hill.  Ethan is a senior digital media production major at the University of Central Missouri, president of the Melies Society, and a member of the Media Creators Association.

Dr. Joe Moore filled in for Corrine this week.  He had a chance to go back to his roots and visit with the UCM Athletic Media Relations team, manager Ryan Anderson, assistant manager Jason Ketz, and graduate assistant Brinkley Beever.

This week on 30 Minutes of THRIVE, Ben visits with THRIVE mentor Lucas Burress.  Lucas is a junior special education major at the University of Central Missouri.

“Everybody gets a medal. Yes … or no?”. Do we reward kids for putting in the time for practice and games … or do they have to win? Are we encouraging more children to participate and building their self-esteem … or are we encouraging a poor work ethic? Do the kids even KNOW whether they won or loss and what the participation trophy is about anyway? Our student panelists weigh the pros and cons.
