  • [S3] EP 12 Two Types of Businesses

    26/06/2018 Duration: 32min

When building or scaling your business, we all know it’s important to have a clear business model in place to keep you on track and focused.   What a lot of failing entrepreneurs don’t understand is that there are two additional categories to consider before you ever even attempt a business plan.   Because truthfully, how can you create a plan for a business without fully understanding the foundation?   In this episode, I share the two types of businesses that exist today, and ONE that’s often overlooked or forgotten. The majority of entrepreneurs are making this same mistake.   You’ll not only have an understanding of these types of businesses, but I’ll also provide examples, characteristics and warnings to look out for. You’ll also hear about my own transition from one to another and why it’s been the best thing to happen to my business.   As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts in our Facebook community and I would so appreciate you subscribing and leaving a review on iTunes, Stitcher or Spotify!     LIN

  • [S3] EP 11 The F word

    19/06/2018 Duration: 31min

Failure isn’t an outcome, it’s a mindset. In business, it’s not a matter of IF we fail, it’s how we manage that feeling when we do. While we intellectually know we’ll be stronger on the other side, it doesn’t discount the feelings of pain, frustration or sadness that we feel in our bodies. Failure isn’t always fun to talk about, much less to share about in public, but it’s important that I discuss it to release the judgment associated with it because if you’re not failing, you’re not playing big enough. In this episode, I share the 5 steps that I use to move through these feelings of failure into gratitude, acceptance and forward momentum. Failure can feel hard, messy and painful but it’s a great starting point for your own personal and professional journey. As always, I look forward to engaging in more conversations with you in our Facebook community. Click here to join us! • [S3] EP 09 Turn Objection into Opportunity

    05/06/2018 Duration: 01h05s

As business owners, we face objections and rejections regularly. So much of the advice out there about overcoming objections promotes the belief that “It’s not you, it’s them” which in turn, is a method of shirking responsibility. However, in my work with countless entrepreneurs, I’ve found the opposite to be more effective. In fact, there’s a much more empowering approach to the same issue which may seem a bit counterintuitive. I surveyed my community to find out the three most common objections they face in their businesses: “It’s too expensive.” “I don’t have enough time.” “I’m not ready yet.” In today’s episode, you’ll see that when you dive in a bit deeper, you can proactively turn objections into personal and financial growth opportunities. As a bonus, I also discuss the implications of cancellations, or clients who don’t renew which can lead to a lot of self-doubt and confusion. After this episode, you’ll have the specific questions to ask yourself, along with the prompts and action steps to reframe ob
