The 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled that the FDA overstepped its authority by allowing the abortion pill mifepristone to be available without a prescription. If the Supreme Court agrees, it will roll back the work the federal government has been doing for the past 7 years to make the pills more accessible.
