The characteristics, known as the Beatitudes, reflect a transformed and spiritually rich life marked by qualities like humility, meekness, righteousness, mercy, purity, and peacemaking. The sermon underscores that these traits aren't a transactional list. If you go do these things I will bless you - Rather these qualities or characteristics are true of the blessed, If you have experienced the grace of God these will be true of you. The ultimate model of these traits is Jesus himself, who embodied them perfectly and suffered to grant his followers these blessings. Jesus introduces the concept of these "Upside Down Kingdom" to his disciples, challenging cultural norms.
