Emily T Gail Talk Story

Professional golfer Sean Maekawa, looks back at joining the Waikoloa Junior Golf Program when he was a keiki and talks about the encouragement he has received from mentors, his parents, and Waikoloa Beach Resort over the years to pursue professional golf. He shares how being involved with the Hawaii State Junior Golf Association and Waikoloa Junior Golf helped him win the Big Island Interscholastic Federation Individual golf titles from 2004-2007 while playing for Honokaa. Having earned a golf scholarship to the University of Oregon, he shares his experience playing in the Waikoloa Beach Resort Kings' Course Amer Ari Intercollegiate, a highly rated Division I tournament with the Oregon Ducks before he turned professional.
