One of Salt Lake City’s newest areas is the Maven District — a curated block of locally-owned businesses working to create a community of walkable shops, eateries and offices that believe in diverse communities, self-growth and dreaming big. Founder Tessa Arneson joins us with more. Tessa Arneson: Maven District is the proud home of Salt Lake City’s largest community of women-owned small businesses. With over 100 locally-owned shops, food, offices and wellness services, our neighborhood is located on the corner of 900 South and 200 East. We recently opened Maven Lofts, a collection of one-bedroom affordable apartments, with 7 micro-retail spaces, and a restaurant space with a rooftop garden. The part of the project I’m most excited about is our boutique hotel, which offers a perfect spot for work or play. Overall, our goal is to make our city cooler and easier to tackle your dreams in.
