Amidst rising breast cancer rates among younger Americans, a new guideline about breast cancer screening emerges from the US Preventive Services Task Force. The USPSTF now recommends women beginning at 40 years old should receive a mammogram every other year. The previous recommendation was that women should begin receiving biannual screenings at age 50.
