US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says Hamas is responsible for the impasse in the efforts to reach a ceasefire agreement and a hostage deal. Palestinian affairs expert Dr Ronnie Shaked from the Truman Institute at Jerusalem’s Hebrew university says that Hamas has not changed its position on a ceasefire since October 7th and aims to continue to control Gaza after the war. He told KAN's Mark Weiss that Hamas  insists on an end to the war , a  full Israeli military withdrawal and the return of displaced residents to northern Gaza.
