I live in Northern NY State. We cannot get any at home lab test except hair sample tests. How accurate are these tests? We also do not have ANY functional medicine practices near us. I have lupus and hashimotos, and my husband and my daughter both have digestive issues. I don't know where to start but I want my family healed. We do eat mostly whole food and organic diet and strength train regularly.     Lina: Hi Dr. Cabral. Thank you so much for all you do to help us maintain good health. I have two questions: 1) After fasting for more than 24 hours, when I eat my first meal, my throat literally hurts when I swallow food. This happens every single time. What could be causing this and what can I do to avoid this discomfort? The pain does goes away after the first meal after fasting. Blessings to
