Questions we answered! - how do you, as personal trainers, talk to new or potential clients who voice weight loss as one of their main goals? On one hand, there are so many fitness professionals who have made their names on weight loss mongering, yet on the other hand, the pursuit of weighing less doesn't necessarily produce more happy people... So how do you convince people that there's nothing wrong with them no matter what size they are in at the beginning of working with you, while encouraging them to work out anyway for health, strength and overall badassness? - As someone with an eating disordered and substance abuse background, I understand that it's not all about weight and I'm trying to focus on non scale victories. This is a daily struggle. Feeling my soft body jiggle while I work out is triggering. Do you have ideas for softening my mindset around this phase of recovery?
