This is Derek Miller, Speaking on Business. The Women’s Business Center of Utah supports women entrepreneurs through training, advising, and access to critical resources. State Director, Ann Marie Wallace joins us to discuss the Utah Proclamation for Women’s Entrepreneurial Empowerment and its impact on women-owned businesses statewide. Ann Marie Wallace: On Women’s Entrepreneurship Day, Utah leaders from government, business and nonprofit sectors came together to sign the Utah Proclamation for Women’s Entrepreneurial Empowerment. Thirty organizations joined the ceremonial signing, committing to support women-owned businesses across the state. The Proclamation recognizes the vital role women entrepreneurs play in Utah’s economy. Women-owned businesses generate roughly 14 billion dollars annually and employ over 89,000 Utahns. It also acknowledges the challenges women business owners often face, including access to capital, networks and growth opportunities. Signatories pledge to take meaningful action,
