In this activity, experts in the management of patients with non–small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) discuss the new standard of care for stage III locally advanced unresectable NSCLC following the recent approval of checkpoint inhibitor therapy for patients who have not progressed following chemoradiation therapy. In addition, the faculty consider how immunotherapy should be integrated into the management of patients with stage III NSCLC, the practical nuances of use, including timing and duration of therapy, as well as management of overlapping and nonoverlapping adverse effects, and immunotherapy-based rational treatment approaches that are being evaluated in neoadjuvant and adjuvant settings in earlier stages of lung cancer.
