Austin Reaffirmed its Obsession with Women's World Cup

Informações:

Synopsis

Easy Tiger was packed, and Haymaker had to start turning people away just after kickoff. At 10 a.m. Sunday, the pictures of overflowing crowds watching the Women’s World Cup final across Austin would have been enough to make staffs at the city’s best-known brunch establishments shudder. All of which made the numbers released by Fox Sports on Monday morning even more impressive. In Austin, 16.7 percent of all households with TVs watched the United States beat the Netherlands to claim the country’s fourth Women’s World Cup title. A staggering 46 percent of the city’s TVs that were on during the match were tuned to it. Both figures ranked No. 1 nationally.
