Synopsis

On Connecting the Classics, hosts Will Hagle (the LA face) and Lee Robinson (the Oakland booty) each choose one classic album. This week, Will chose Muddy Waters's 'The Folk Singer' and Lee chose Jimi Hendrix's 'Axis: Bold As Love.' The theme was 'Albums that we're thankful for,' and these are the albums that we're thankful for, because WE'RE THANKFUL FOR THE BLUES. We get into our favorite songs off each of the albums, and then each choose 5 tangential songs to connect them. Listen to hear how Boosie Badazz, Above the Law, Deltron 3030, Outkast, Santana, and Frank Herbert's sci-fi classic 'Dune' relate to these #undisputedclassic albums. Will screams a little bit too much at the beginning of this episode but the audio quality gets much better pretty quickly. -500 points to him for that. Also, this podcast is a competition in which points are awarded but like Whose Line Is It Anyway the points don't matter. But feel free to award points as you go along and let us know who you think wins.
