For years, I struggled to fit in. I desperately wanted to be live my friends and those around, though what they did and who they were didn't "fit" on me. I spent many years struggling, knowing that I felt different and didn't know why. Fast forward a few decades and now I know what was missing. I discovered my "weird" was not so weird after all and as parents, we must absolutely embrace ours kids "weird." Weird is no longer bad. It's who we are an everyone has their own flavor of "weird" that must be celebrated.
