After an unexpected turn of events last year, Shekinah McKinstry is grateful to now have the freedom to live in North Africa with her husband and three beautiful children.. while traveling, unschooling, and strengthening family ties.   The McKinstry tribe has adopted the Japanese philosophy of "manners before knowledge", which primarily focuses on installing respect, proper etiquette and developing character until fourth grade.  Shekinah turns every moment into a teaching moment and uses travel to encourage cultural awareness. Her goal is to gain international wisdom, increase compassion, and develop superior social etiquette in their children and herself.  She enjoys a nice glass of wine, creative writing, and is obsessed with the sound of complete silence.
