This week's guest was Joel D Canfield, author of the book "You Don't Want A Job." We talked about how having a job is perhaps the riskiest career decision we will ever make. Topics discussed included lack of loyalty in the workplace, the ability to schedule your own time, and choosing your clientele. We also talked about how being technically competent in something does NOT make us qualified to run a business in that area. There are learnable skills that are required to run a successful business. We also talked about his publishing and writing career in terms of choosing to self-publish instead of finding a big publisher.
