Inspired by the smart city movement, Alberto Altamirano cofounded Cityflag, a civic technology company. Altamirano says it’s the first social network for 311 services, where citizens can more easily connect with government to report a variety of issues in the neighborhood, like potholes or power outages, by using various tools, including dynamic maps, geo-located photos and the reports of fellow citizens.
