We've transitioned into the new year and so I have a story all about the beauty of life and new beginnings waiting for us right around the corner. The Velveteen Rabbit is a beloved story from my childhood and likely from yours too. I remember how, as a child, I used to play with my own toys and dream of what it would be like if they were real. As I re-read this story now, I’m struck by how there is always a new chapter ahead even when it is hard to see it. I'm sure many of you are going through some challenges right now – life can get messy and complicated. I hope this story reminds you that even within the struggles we face, there are always sweet moments to be found. These sweet moments make up this patchwork thing we call life.
