Synopsis

Often times society can fail to see our utility outside of sport and it often leads to athletes being enabled instead of others building us up. Over time the responsibility of being a collegiate student-athlete can take a toll on you physically, psychologically, and emotionally. When you finally step away from your sport you enter a time of extreme vulnerability. Many athletes get involved in sport as way to cope. Once it’s over we are forced to deal with issues that we have suppressed for years. It is extremely dangerous when your sport is stripped away from you.
