If you’re remodeling your shower you need a shower niche.    It’s more modern than a crappy soap dish…seriously!!   We like pre-made shower niches by Schluter and Wedi.   But you can also make your own niche.   You can use cement board (Permabase or DuRock) or Wedi panels or Schluter panels.   But there are certain tips for each variation.
