Synopsis

Out of the shadows and fog comes a new episode of Double Edged Double Bill! This week, Adam Thomas and Thomas Mariani are covering the genre of noir! Our good feature is the 1956 Stanley Kubrick film The Killing while the bad feature is the 2008 neo-noir comic book adaptation from legendary comic book writer/artist gone bad Frank Miller called The Spirit. Joining our two intrepid detectives is a mysterious man of questionable motives Torrey Depina! Together, this trio will crack the big questions of this case. Did The Killing create the creepy clown mask? Why does The Spirit feature Nokia phone product placement? Is Frank Miller able to write a decent female character anymore? Put this episode in your trench coat pocket and find out! If you’re in the Atlanta, GA area, come to Dragon Con (August 31st – September 3rd) where Thomas is doing panels for the Urban Fantasy and Horror Tracks! Below are the panels he’ll be on: Fighting Unbeatable Evil: An Angel Fan Panel Time: Sat 09/01 01:00 pm Location: Chastain 1
