SE139: Lipsync for Your Life

Informações:

Synopsis

This week we tell you why drag queens might end up in prison for 5 years for lipsyncing-for-profit and we get some thoughts from the beautiful Destiny B. Childs. You hear it right from the drag queen's mouth. We'll also tell you why Baltimore Pride was a complete sh#t show (and we say that with the utmost love and admiration). And maybe most unexpected this week, GLAAD President Jarret Barrios--a past Swish guest--resigns (along with the head of GLAAD's Board of Directors) because of the organization's misguided advocacy for the AT&T / T-Mobile merger. Heavy. On a lighter note, or notes, we have a couple of fresh tracks from TimPermanent (seen in the audio player below). You might dig his quirky and idiosyncratic style as unforced and honest, without needless noise. This out singer has opened for Fantasia, Deborah Cox and Adam Lambert, and has also played the infamous Sunset Strip’s Viper Room, Roxy, and Key Club. Currently, TimPermanent is promoting his 2011 EP Marker. And we play a fresh new Swishy game
