I wish this was clickbait, but it's not. As the legal proceedings take place between YouTube and the FTC over COPPA laws concerning children, the implications are much deeper and impactful for YouTube as a whole than we originally thought. And not just for creators in the USA. YouTube's new policies will impact every creator on the platform regardless of where they reside. Jeremy Johnston will join us to discuss the issues that are at stake for creators, which are currently scheduled to take effect on January 1, 2020. He's uniquely qualified to talk about this because he is a successful family YouTube creator with almost 2 million subscribers, he's a dad of 5 kids, and he's a lawyer. He flew out to Washington DC several times to meet with the lawyers who drafted the case against YouTube and has several surprising things to share about what this means for us as creators and what we need to do about it now before it's too late.
