Another big week of golf on the European Tour with Rory McIlroy heading the field at the Pro-Am Dunhill Links Championship. A larger than normal field tackle three of Scotland’s finest layouts in the Old Course at St Andrews, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns. It’s a style of golf unlike that faced most weeks by the players and that puts our resident expert John Evans right in his comfort zone as he hunts down several value propositions. On the other side of the pond, the PGA Tour is in California for the Safeway Open where both Phil Mickelson and Adam Scott add some start power to an otherwise lacklustre field. As always we reveal two to three of John’s selected picks for the upcoming week and why he’s chosen them and we’ll be tracking the performance of these players over the course of the year through the eyes of a mythical punter, Podcast Pete.
