Hillside Strangler Stories from Vonda Pelto, Ph.D., She Dealt with Ken Bianchi at Los Angeles Men's Central Jail: Vonda Pelto, Ph.D. tells some stories about notorious Hillside Strangler Kenneth Bianchi from her time at Los Angeles' Men's Central Jail from 1980 to 1984. Vonda, author of Without Remorse: The Story of the Woman Who Kept Los Angeles' Serial Killers Alive, had close contact with this handsome and manipulative sociopathic murderer and really noticed how truly slick he was. Along with his cousin Angelo Buono, Jr. he tortured, raped and murdered 12 women. They did some unspeakable things and then he denied he had ever killed anyone, that is all his cousin's doing and he was innocent. Vonda didn't buy that for a minute. She took away from her experience a paranoia that still exists and she passes that advice on to anyone willing to listen.
