In this episode, Dave and Dante talk about one of the problems that affects all of us: bitterness. Whether it stems from someone hurting you, or even struggling with bitterness towards God, this is something that will eat at you from the inside-out and affect everything and everyone around you. Listen in for how to deal with it in a biblical fashion...here's a hint: if you've accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior and confessed your broken and sinful nature to Him, you've received it. In this final part of the five-part series on discipleship, Dave and Dante talk about the discipleship goal of every Christian: helping to produce other disciples. The Great Commission is a command to "go and make," and when we are producing new disciples, we are fulfilling that call to action. As we continue the discipleship series, we reach a turning point: spiritual young adulthood. In this stage, the focus turns from focusing inward to focusing outward and figuring out how to serve God and His kingdom. While the passion and intensity to serve Him is contagious, there are still needs that must be met in order to continue the discipleship journey. Listen in as Dave and Dante discuss the characteristics, common phrases, and needs of the spiritual young adult.

In this first of a five-part series on discipleship, Dave and Dante discuss the first stage: spiritually dead. Ephesians 2 talks about how we were dead in our transgressions and sins before we made the choice to pursue a relationship with Jesus. Oftentimes, as Christians, it is hard for us to determine how to love those who are in those circumstances in which we once were. Listen in as the guys talk about characteristics of spiritually dead neighbors, and more importantly, how to show them the love of Jesus. The goal: help them to realize the life they can have when they turn towards Jesus.

In this second part of the discussion of idols, Dave and Dante get a little personal in talking about the things that are occupying the space where God should be. Whether it is money or status or image or relationships or possessions, no matter what it is...it must take a back seat to God's presence in our lives. In this first of a two-part episode, Dave and Dante discuss the dangers of idols. In biblical times, idols took many shapes and forms…today is no different. Whether you idolize money, or things, or image, or relationships, the end result is always the same: the wrath of God. He is a selfish and jealous God, and being the Creator, well, He has every right to be so. And because of that, He doesn’t take too well to sharing our devotion. Listen to this first episode and hear how the guys work through what idolization looks like today - and why it can ruin your legacy!

In this episode, Dave and Dante talk through what it looks like to get out of the rut. Sometimes life gets busy and our priorities get out of order. If your relationship with your wife is under-prioritized, you'll find yourself in a rut of some sort. The guys talk about some practical things to do to get out of the rut, get out of pit lane, and get back into the race!

We are blessed to welcome Dr. John Sowers onto the podcast to discuss his new book (release February 1, 2022) titled "Say All the Unspoken Things: A Book of Letters." In 2020, John started writing letters to his daughters after feeling an urgency to share his full heart with them, and to make sure he knew that he loved them, and to pass along the wisdom that he'd been given by others. John gives us more insight to the book so that Legacy Dads can continue to make an impact on their kids' lives.

What category would you say your kids fall into: biblical scholar, moderate Christian, or secular? Chances are they fall into secular. Surprised? Why? If we are sending our kids to Caesar for education, we shouldn't be surprised when they come home acting and thinking like Romans. In this episode, Dave and Dante discuss the importance of understanding the educational system, and whether to consider alternatives when the system starts to trend more secular in all aspects.
