James Steele, PhD (Instagram / email - james.steele [@] solent.ac.uk) is the Principal Investigator at Ukactive Research Institute and Associate Professor of Sport and Exercise Science at Southampton Solent University, UK. He has published many peer reviewed articles on a variety of areas relating to health and fitness with particular focus upon the impact of resistance training. In his role at UKactive, Dr Steele is working to translate academic expertise into real world practice, and utilise the insight of what is happening on the ground with Ukactive members to further the knowledge of what works in getting the the UK moving.
