Welcome to Season 2 of Savannah’s World, a scripted musical podcast about Savannah Green and the ups and down she faces at Robert Churchwell Elementary! In this season, Savannah takes us back to her first day at Robert Churchwell School and it’s fair to say things weren’t always so easy. New school jitters are on the high when Savannah arrives at Robert Churchwell Elementary. Savannah's World: Savannah Follows Chester! is the inaugural children's audio storybook in the Savannah's World collection. In this season, 9-year old Savannah Green wants to try out for the school football team. She is quickly put down by her fellow teammates for being a girl, asserting that she is too "weak" to play ball. Savannah learns how to view every seeming mistake as an opportunity to rise above, all the while learning about Dr. Chester Pierce - the first African-American to play football in the south - his struggles with racism and discrimination, and how he overcame with determination, leadership, civility, and small acts of kindness.

In Episode 1, we meet an ambitious and excited Savannah Green vying for a spot on the school football team, the Tiger Paws. When she hits a road block, she remembers what her dad used to tell her: "there are no mistakes, only opportunities". This motto encourages her as she realizes in the end things aren't always as negative as they may seem at first.

In Episode 2, Savannah deals with the social stigma that comes with being a girl who wants to play football. She's determined to prove the haters wrong and show that girls can do anything boys can do.

Before the big game, Episode 3 finds Savannah learning about the power of forgiveness and establishing a camaraderie with her fellow teammates. Geared up and determined to win, Savannah leads the team as quarterback right alongside her male teammates.

In Episode 4, Savannah enthusiastically recounts the events of the big game to her mom. Her situation proves that if you're passionate about something, you should go for it, regardless of what others may think. You must dare to be you!

One day after school, Savannah tries to tell her best friends Suni and Emily about Dr. Chester Pierce - the first African American to play college football in the south. When her friends aren't familiar with his accomplishments, Savannah teaches them about his life and how his situations back in the 1940s paralleled with her own in the present.
