The guys are back at it! We talk about lots of things, like gear changes, and the state of the world of Disney!

In this episode, the guys talk about the latest Disney rumors, from Star Wars to Marvel, and the impending invasion of all things Frozen. From there, we discuss how relevant HDR processing and bracketing are in today's day in age, and also discuss various masking techniques.

In this episode, we discuss some Disney, as well as Cory's take on his (somewhat) new purchase of the Sony a7 mirrorless full frame camera.

This week, the guys return from a long winter hibernation with a new episode. This episode marks the return to glory of the fabled ISO 5571 podcast (mark that down for the history books, folks) as it goes from being "ISO 5571 - A Rambling Podcast About Photography, Disney, and Stuff...But Mostly Stuff" to "ISO 5571 - A Disney Podcast." Don't worry, there's still plenty of rambling, but now it's divided up into two distinct halves: the first half covering all things Disney and the second half covering all things photography. So, if you have friends who like Disney but aren't interested in photography, send them our way...they can always stop listening after the first half!

Did you miss us? This week, the guys remembered they had a podcast and decided to record an episode. They also talk about what makes someone a professional photographer.

This episode is a riveting discussion of new stuff at Universal Orlando, which is partly a discussion of things that are actually new and their photogenic qualities, and partly the gang waxing nostalgic for attractions of the past, and demanding that Universal build two Jurassic Parks…with real dinosaurs. Before that, a new segment is introduced critiquing photos that users send in. This is essentially a no-holds-barred cage match. Many photos enter, only one photo survives. Or something like that. GET IN THE CAGE!!!

For historic Episode 60, we’re joined by returning guest Gregg Cooper, who has a new HDR technique that he’s excited to share. Gregg discusses the Merge to 32-Bit HDR plugin for Lightroom by HDRSoft (the folks who make Photomatix). He explains how it’s a great way to fuse exposures and produce realistic HDR images right in Lightroom! We also discuss the new Flickr, and why we think now is the perfect time to reinvigorate the Disney photography community on Flickr.

The guys discuss photo tips for Disney California Adventure.

In this episode we talk about the various types of Nik Software. You can read more about these programs on Nik's website. Very little on Disney in this episode, although we do discuss how the various software might work well for Disney photos. At the end of the episode, Tom goes on a tangent about murder-kittens. On this episode, we talk post processing. Pretty pedestrian stuff at first: we all just discuss how we import images into Lightroom (Cory and Ryan) or Bridge/Adobe Camera Raw (Tom). Tom starts rambling on about how he uses presets in Adobe Camera Raw. Nothing important here. Cory mentions Matt Kloskowski, who has a lot of Lightroom presets. Cory then asks about editing night images. Ryan discusses editing photos together to adjust white balance and saving photos as TIFFs before bringing them into Photoshop or Photomatix. From there, we warned against taming highlights too much, increasing clarity too much, and increasing saturation instead of vibrance. We concluded the episode by teasing next week's episode, which will be a salute to the Nik software! Tom touched upon The HDR Book that he recently read.
