Ten Tenths Podcast

This week the guys expand on the idea from the Mansory episode (episode #10) by exploring the "lifestyle" products available from any and all automotive manufacturers.

This week the guys argue about the differences between SUVs, hatchbacks, wagons, and shooting breaks; they provide several updates on their project cars; and they discussed the most Germanic way to attempt to alter the weather.

This week the guys put a "Price Is Right" spin on the Craigslist Challenge: each host must choose a series of cars from Craigslist or Ebay, and the other two must get closest to guessing the advertised price without going over. They quickly confirm that Craigslist pricing isn't directly correlated with market values nor basic reasoning.

Back together after a week hiatus, the guys discuss their experiences from the past weekend. Michael has an opportunity to shoot amongst the pros at Formula Drift St. Louis and Robert has a go at his first Time Trials event with the SCCA. 

Andrew Rains is a professional racing driver and marketer for APEX Pro. Andrew joins us this week to tell us about his short but quick assent in pro racing, how he became connected with APEX Pro, and how he is on the shortlist of drivers to crash a GT40.Additionally, the podcast loses its much needed balance in Adam's absence. Michael and Robbie discuss which Mercedes AMG wheel option is right for you, how to best maintain the foreign registration on your million-dollar hypercar, and how luxury automakers concierge programs can really get under your skin.

Steve Wickersheim is a motorsports photographer that specializes in capturing drift events throughout the Midwest. He joins us this week to discuss how he got his start in shooting cars, some advice for beginners, and the rewards of shooting motorsports photography. In addition, Adam shares his inaugural experience with ChampCar, which ends with an exciting result!

A smattering of topics are discussed this week: Michael discusses his most recent Indycar experience, Robbie discovers his next career, and we all discuss modifications you should consider NOT doing to your car. 

This week the guys split off and do their own things - Michael and Adam go to two quite different car events and Robbie becomes a spendthrift lumberjack. 

Carnage and destruction! Michael and Robbie share their recent race-day experiences and we realize autocross can be more disastrous than we originally considered. 

Ryan Sage is Vice President and co-founder of Formula Drift. Many of you may recognize him as co-host of FD proceedings along side Jarod DeAnda, but Ryan is actively engaged in the growth and development of the Formula Drit program. Ryan joins us this week to discuss the development of FD over the past 15 years and where he sees the future potential of the sport.

The guys have returned from their 3rd year at Gridlife Midwest. Robert takes the reins of the show solo this week in order to interview Freddie Hunt. If Freddie's last name sounds familliar, that is because he is the son of the infamous James Hunt, winner of the 1976 Formula One World Championship. Freddie discusses his unusual transition into automotive racing and his campaign towards Le Mans. 

This week Michael shares an interesting observation about most Formula D cars and we discuss how owners ruin certain models of cars.
