How should you install a recessed shower niche?   Steve White from SRW Contracting gives you great tips.   Here’s the breakdown   1. Don’t add a recessed niche on an exterior wall because you can’t insulate behind it   2. Buy a pre-made shower niche from Schluter, Wedi, or Laticrete   3. What tools do you need to cut tile?   There are 5 different tools that you should know about.   Here they are   1. Tile wet saw, these are great and can cut through ceramic, glass, and porcelain   2. Manual tile cutter, these score the tile and allow you to get any size you want.   3. Tile nippers, these are little pliers that allow you make small cuts in tile   4. Hole saws, you need these to make small holes in tile for shower heads   5. Why should you care about electrical surges?   Okay, maybe I should rephrase this question: how much would it cost to replace your refrigerator or television?   Quite a bit of dinero, right.   What can you do to protect against surges in electricity that ruin electrical devices?   1.
