Jenna is an eighteen year old college student who was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of thirteen. To say that Jenna has 'it' together is, well, the understatement of all understatements. Beth and Tung Tran's son Jack was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes six months ago at the age of two (While Beth was 8 months pregnant). This episode is a fantastic look into the first few months of life with type 1 diabetes as well as an eye opening (for me) look about how things have changed since Arden's diagnosis. I was heartened by how the Tran family is embracing diabetes technology and the diabetes community online. Moreover, I was elated to hear about how their physicians made the family aware of technology and Internet based type 1 diabetes communities.
