So the season started, that is a good thing unless you are the Pittsburgh Penguins who have bled goals since the drop of the puck in their first game. Around the league you have great stories, McDavid is awesome, Fleury won his first start, and any and all predictions are wrong because of the first week of hockey. Episode 166 There have been rumors going around about changing the draft age to 19, it is silly and we say so in this episode of the podcast. The Oilers have the 3 center model all signed up, with Leon Draisaitl having signed his 8-year x $8.5M contract. Are they in a cap crunch because of McDavid and Draisaitl or are there other contracts that will see RNJ moved out of Edmonton?  Matt Cullen is back in Minnesota, great for the Wild, holes are starting to get deeper for Pittsburgh.
