Synopsis

I'm back! Welcome to my vanity project!

Episodes

  • Episode 24. Justify your insurance.

    20/08/2013 Duration: 59min

Poor @Traitism has to listen to my complaints about famous people on instagram for the first fifteen minutes. Then it's another hum dinger of an episode, with no real theme or purpose. But hey, I dare you not to listen. Anyway, Trait and his LaDivision comrades have an exhibition this Thursday at Lo Fi Collective in the big smoke, so if you're in the area check it out. Also, have a look at Trait's store at http://trait.bigcartel.com to get some art goodness.

  • Episode 22. No more chlamydia.

    14/07/2013 Duration: 01h03min

@Traitism and his mate Woody came over to talk about the recent changes in government. By talk about, I mean explain to me what happened. I was building Star Wars Lego and watching Man of Steel when it all happened. Don't forget, if you're in the Wollongong area check out Trait's spectacular artwork behind the Illawarra Performing Arts Center and just around the corner on the panels at the Wollongong Art Gallery.

  • Episode 21. Non-disclosure.

    11/07/2013 Duration: 01h15min

    No description available.  #stonedcamel

  • Episode 20. Fairly well behaved.

    25/06/2013 Duration: 01h27min

This time @angrychefnumsi is in the hosting seat and he interviews Marcelo Baez, albeit with Tilley and myself as their microphone connected audience. Marcelo is an illustrator and comic book artist working locally and Numsi, Tilley and myself spend an hour and a half picking his brain about all things comics, with our usual brand of conversational gymnastics. I cannot stress how awesome Marcelos art is, so instead check these links.. http://www.littlehammer.com http://marcelo-baez.blogspot.com.au

  • Episode 19. Selling your a***

    24/06/2013 Duration: 01h01min

@Traitism has come up with a genius new way to sponsor Graffiti artists, and I fill him in on a recent "conflict" I found myself involved in.. ALSO - check ladivision.tv for details on Trait and the rest of the la division and their upcoming show!  Also Pork Chop makes a small cameo with news of a returning unknown favourite. Oh shit! #asknumsi #itiswhatitis #rapper5minutes?

  • Episode 17. F*ck yeah, Vinnie Jones.

    14/06/2013 Duration: 01h06min

@Traitism and myself decided to critique a young mans facebook post. In hindsight I feel like a bit of a dickhead as I have a podcast that pretty much does the same thing in terms of highlighting my own ignorance and stupidity. Ah, bless the internet. Luckily Trait is there to explain a few of the finer points and provide me with some context. Don't forget marfuckas, #ASKNUMSI

  • Episode 15. Slosh pit.

    01/06/2013 Duration: 01h06min

In this one I have local artist, Shane from longhoundstudio.com over for a chat about comic books. We've crossed paths over the years and always have good chats about music and cartoons. Most recently he designed the poster for the Pork Chop headlined, Toxic Toybox; Chainsaw Mascara's album launch, hosted by Chaplin Arts. He does some really cool work and has done posters for many a local band. Check out longhoundstudio.com and go and click like on Facebook.  Speaking of Pork Chop, he along with Tilley are on the intro this week. It is our usual hilarious brand of vulgarity.

  • Episode 14. Once you've had grub, you wanna.. Show love?

    26/05/2013 Duration: 01h08min

My mayne @traitism is planning his wedding, to me it seems stressful. Luckily for me I'm living vicariously through his experience and I spend my days putting photos of my cat on instagram. Me being me, we end up talking about strippers. If you haven’t recently been to thetraitist.wordpress.com go and have a look because old mate Trait has been churning out the blogs. ALSO! We've got a new segment in the show called #ASKNUMSI. So either hit us at podkembla@gmail.com of on twitter with the hash tag: #ASKNUMSI with any questions for our resident expert on everything; @angrychefnumsi. "He's like Gordon Ramsey, Dr Phil and Mr T in one dude.." I'm quoting myself now.. Yes, we're THAT kind of podcast.

  • Episode 12. One way ticket to Mars?

    12/05/2013 Duration: 01h06min

It's me and @traitism back again, this time we talk about outer-space.. Kinda. Also, I mention that I will be uploading episodes every Wednesday; well it's obvious that isn't happening. One day I'll get my shit together, until then enjoy another episode of myself and Trait and our hour of blue-collar philosophy. I know, “our hour.” It seemed like a good idea at the time.

  • Episode 11. You can be my DJ, and I'm like, a bad rapper.

    12/05/2013 Duration: 01h14min

@Traitism is back and we talk about one of our favourite people; John Oliver, which inevitably leads to us discussing politics. Or at least, we make our best attempt. As always, go and have a look at thetraitist.wordpress.com where old mate Trait is becoming quite prolific with the blog posts. It makes me feel lazy. Well that, and the fact I’m lazy. The episode title is in reference to something that#KINGPHAT (artist formerly known as Delicious Driver) and I recorded as an intro but I decided not to include it. So it's a tribute to what was, but now is not.. Or something. Enjoy the show!

  • Episode 10. No Sell-out.

    24/04/2013 Duration: 01h17min

The Big Payback was a Wollongong community radio show on 106.9 VOX FM that ran for twenty years from 1990 until 2010. If you've listened to earlier episodes, you'll know I have a very short, but memorable (probably not so much for them) relationship with VOX FM.  This week, the oh gee SKOOP, one of the founders of the show and one of the first hip-hop artists in the region, sits down and educates me on the early days of hip-hop culture, in this region, country and around the world. I'd like to send a colossally massive thanks to SKOOP for coming down and waxing philosophical with me.

  • Episode 9. Revelations. (#metapodcasting)

    17/04/2013 Duration: 01h13min

@traitizm is back to help me make some in depth discoveries about both my inner and outer selves, don't worry it's not sexual. We also talk about other podcasts, shitting in the woods, elective surgery and more! Check out Traits new blog at thetraitist.wordpress.com. Peace bish!

  • Episode 8. Piece of arm, peace of mind.

    02/04/2013 Duration: 01h12min

SEAN MOTHERFUCKING SHEAP! @SeanSheap1 stopped by to chat about hip-hop history, and in particular we delve a little bit more into local Wollongong hip-hop history. We also talked about comic books, the ABC and how to make something called a 'lung'. In a shocking turn of events we attempt (by checking Wikipedia) to get to the bottom of the mysterious origin of the word 'Kembla'. Plus I debut our new intro theme (at the end of the show) made by a very good friend of mine.. Let us know what you think. Poice karnts.

  • Episode 6. Mirxism.

    28/03/2013 Duration: 01h17min

@Traitism is back and along with him he brought Mirx, AKA @ABSORB77 (on Instagram), one of the only real renaissance men I've ever met. We try to make sense of whatever the fuck happened last week in Australian politics. Afterwards we pick Mirx's brain for a good hour about all things hip-hop. Well, for the most part.

  • Episode 5. Pointless Insults.

    13/03/2013 Duration: 01h18min

This one is a noisy one with myself, @angrychefnumsi, @traitism and @dlinkwnt, and yeah it opens like an episode of Breaking Bad. You've been warned now. However! I guarantee you'll fall over laughing when @angrychefnumsi starts going off on scooter afficionados.

  • Episode 2. Two white guys talk about racism.

    17/02/2013 Duration: 01h06min

Last week local artist Trait and I got into a sparing match with a Christian group with homophobic and somewhat racist undertones on Facebook.. Yep, Facebook. We both in turn got blocked from the page for our vocal opposition to their bigotry. So I sat down with Trait to talk about what had happened, as well as variety of other things that eventually devolves into myself admitting to being threatened by the idea and ideals of Alan Moore, whatever that means. All in all it's a lovely chat and a big thank-you to Trait for stopping by.
