Jelly and Bean are two super pals who like to talk about all of the aforementioned topics (and more, probably), resulting in a nice little peek into the world of geeks, all in the form of a delicious weekly podcast that can be shoved into your ears thanks to the magic of sound waves!

Meanwhile, Jelly hates on election campaigns and Bean calls someone a “d-bag”. Also, the boys entertain a crazy notion about being better looking than most people. Those crazy kids.

Meanwhile, the boys discuss Branden’s opinions on Amy and the Doctor’s companions in general, and Jelly talks at length about Star Wars even though he claims to not really care for it that much. Also, a whole lot of reminiscing about old LucasArts games.

    Privacy given as a reason for Google Reader’s demise, BBC drops a Doctor Who prequel for ‘The Bells of Saint John’, a new TV spot for Iron Man 3 introduces a new development that’s a really nice surprise, a trailer finally surfaces for The Wolverine, an Australian store starts charges $5 for “just looking”, Yahoo buys iOS app Summly for $30M and Microsoft pre-empts disgruntled victims of a privacy breach by giving them Microsoft Points. Meanwhile, the memory lapses begin early and the boys both use computers to do basic mathematics. Also, Jelly geeks out over the new Iron Man TV spot, Bean reminisces about the only part of the original Wolverine movie that he remembers and they both struggle to comprehend paying to enter a shop.

    Doctor Who coming to ABC on 31 March, videos surface that proves Simcity can be played offline (with a little modification), Steam announces that it’s releasing a HD version of Age of Empires II, footage leaks showing a new Star Wars FPS, Samsung hosts what is possibly the weirdest - and worst - product announcement ever, and the US Supreme Court rules in favour of grey market textbook importing. Meanwhile, Jelly admits that maybe he’s getting a little antsy to be able to play the new SimCity, and Bean struggles to move on from David Tennant’s Doctor. Also, Jelly tries his best not to mention Apple while talking about Samsung’s Galaxy S4 launch, but fails. That and more astounding things this week on Jelly and Bean!

    Simcity continues having problems, Google Reader gets tossed out in Google’s latest spring cleaning, Veronica Mars kickstarter campaign launches, and succeeds within 10 hours, Microsoft gets slapped with a huge fine for accidentally not offering users a choice of browser in Europe, and Apple joins Amazon in applying for patents to resell digital content. Meanwhile, BEES! Also, Jelly feels good about not having purchased the new Simcity, while Bean plugs GOG again for being awesome and having Simcity 2000 on the cheap. Oh, and just so you know, the free car offer is only available to those standing in a specific 2 metre square area in southern Luxembourg whilst listening to this episode.

Also, the boys struggle to pronounce “colloquially”. This might just be the best episode of Jelly and Bean yet!

    System Shock 2 becomes available on GOG.com and a new copyright association (made from the unholy combination of the MPAA, the RIAA and several american ISPs) begins a six strikes solution for piracy. Meanwhile the boys find GOG and Jelly rants about torrents and piracy and the best solution to both. Also, the boys declare their love of GOG and Bean wonders whether all the religious jokes will get them smitten.

    Disney announces solo Star Wars films for young Han Solo and Boba Fett, Google Glass and the future of wearable computing, Google’s plans to open retail stores, and the details from the announcement of the Playstation 4, including their plans for implementing streaming technology and new (and sometimes creepy) social additions. Meanwhile, Jelly accidentally discovers a new way to do the show intro, and mimics one of the speakers from the Playstation keynote. Also, the boys plan to play Playstation 4 while recording an episode. NOTHING WILL STOP THEM!

Meanwhile, Jelly takes a nap, and the boys announce the winners of the t-shirt giveaway from episode 11. Because t-shirts! Also Bean tries out a new segue, much to the dismay of Jelly. There’s no rest for Jelly and Bean!

    A Star Wars movie featuring Yoda, the possibility of Portal and Half Life movies from Bad Robot (J.J. Abrams), the Superbowl ads, GoDaddy’s awful advertising, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, the dramatic retelling of the origin of Doctor Who (the show, not the character) and the controversy surrounding CNET having it’s product reviews interfered with by it’s parent company, CBS. Meanwhile, Jelly rants about sexism in advertising, and Branden rants about objectivity in media. The boys also announce a sweet t-shirt giveaway. You could score a cool Jelly and Bean t-shirt!
