This week we had the honor of hosting Ying Kai, a missionary whom God has used to bring over 1.5 million people to faith in Jesus! Ying talks to us this morning about the importance of sharing the gospel and the calling that we receive as Christians from above, below, inside, and outside.

The beginning of the church in Acts gives us a picture of a community devoted to Jesus and to each other. How do we live that out today? This week, Pastor Brandon tackles how we can live a life that puts Jesus on display by devoting ourselves to His body, the church.

We're all searching for something to save us. Why do we believe that Jesus fulfills all that we long for? Because it is true and He has proven it. Continuing on in Acts 2, Pastor Brandon shares what it means to acknowledge Jesus as both Lord and Savior.

Acts 2 covers the story of Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit comes upon the early church with fire and enables them to preach in multiple languages. There's a lot of imagery used in the story that can make it hard for to us understand, so this week Pastor Chad sets out to answer 3 basic questions: What did God do? Why did He do it like that? And How should we respond?

The church exists because of Jesus. We're here to continue His mission in the world. All throughout this series we're looking back to the beginning of the church and why it was founded to see what drives us into our mission here today.

Here at Austin Oaks Church, our passion is to help you meet, know, and follow Jesus. But what does it mean to follow Him? Is it just your own personal disciplines, or something more? Join us this week as Pastor Brandon looks at a few key stories from Jesus's life and encourages us to do the things that He did.

If you follow Jesus, will you be fulfilled. Sometimes it's hard to believe because often it doesn't look like what we thought it would. Often what really brings us lasting fulfillment comes through things we really don't want to have to do. This week Pastor Brandon takes a look at an Old Testament story that shows us what it looks like to be fully committed and what that requires of us.

The New Year brings with it all kinds of opportunities for change and growth, but do these resolutions ever really stick? Do they really paint the right picture of who we want to be? Or maybe a better question is, who does God want us to be? Join us this week as Pastor Brandon talks about what God wants for each one of us and how we are to grow in spiritual formation.
