To keep thinking about things we have created a new section of the podcast called "Essays From The Couch" where were ask each other to write a short essay on a topic we select for each other... Along the way we speak with protesters, organizers and someone Caroline went to sleep away camp with as a little girl! Caroline learns that protesting is hard work and you always have to keep up with the crowd!

Impeachment, Debates and Tom SteyerIn the throws of the Impeachment hearings, Steve explains to Caroline why everything is going the way it is in the hearings. An argument ensues over how white the Democratic debate is and Caroline reveals she has a political crush on Tom Steyer....

Let The Inquiry BeginOn the day after the historic vote to set the rules for the Trump Impeachment proceedings, Caroline and Steve go through the process both where it's at and where it may be headed... The show ended with our co-hosts catching each other up on what they have been doing (rather than making this podcast!)

Don't Fall For The Cheap Jedi Mindtrick!Caroline and Steve go through the events of the day, including the recent change of heart of Anthony Scaramucci. They also get back to their homework giving candidate reviews of Tulsi Gabbard and Cory Booker.

Mueller: Don't Believe the Hype!This show is all about the perception of what happened when Rober Mueller testified before Congress versus what actually transpired. Because of her work schedule, Caroline could only listen to pundits and see clips of testimony until she sat down to do prep for this recording and watched the full video. It was a lesson in perception and reality as the disaster never materialized and instead, she witnessed a damming indictment of the Trump Campaign and Administration. The talk centers on the always annoying question of Why do the Democrats always snatch defeat from the jaws of victory?!!!

The Investigation, The Debates, and The WardrobeSometimes work gets in the way of podcasting, but in this case, it made a great episode! Caroline interviews Steve about his experiences producing a reading of the Mueller Report at historic Riverside Church. Excerpts are played and discussed. Then we move onto talk about the two Democratic debates and the aftermath and bump for Kamala Harris. Assignments are given out for next week (I hope we do our homework)....

It's Debate Season Already? Caroline and Steve talk about the upcoming Democratic Debate, how does a candidate get in, who's in, who's on the bubble, and who's in trouble! In our continuing Candidate Profile segments, Julian Castro and Elizabeth Warren get the full A&D treatment, and we discuss the experience of Outrage Fatigue ending with a brief discussion of the meaning of "Pro-Life" in the context of all the anti-choice laws being passed by conservative legislatures around the country.

Do We Have a Country or Not?As the Trump Administration gives rise to the greatest example of the Unitary Executive in American history, Congressional subpoenas go unanswered, the Attorney General contemptuously snubs any Congressional oversite and Caroline's head was about to explode so we had to go through it for her. Steve told her not to expect much and await the fate of the entire Republic on that one Righteous Republican to rise and say NO to the madness (Don't hold your breath) There's a nice scene by the Resistance Players and reading or two from the Muller Report.
