This week we start the second half of the Fall term, Mester 2, with most students starting the second half of 4 year-long courses. This is an excellent time for students to check with their teachers so they have a complete understanding of what it takes to be successful in every class. This is a special Saturday message because the first student vaccine deadline is tomorrow. All students participating in extracurricular activities and/or athletics must be fully vaccinated by October 31 in order to continue participating in these programs after school.  In order to meet the deadline, students must receive their first dose no later than October 10, this Sunday, and their second dose no later than October 31. This is a later date than earlier announced. Senior photos and make-up ID photos are scheduled for October 15 at Legacy. The Senior Sunrise Event, just for the Legacy Class of 2022, will be at Legacy at dawn on 10/16/21. We are still having a number of students arrive late and they are missing the first part of Period 1. We will implement our tardy policy beginning this week. All students must have a time/dated tardy slip to be admitted to class. Please note outside food and drinks are not allowed in classrooms. Because some students are confronting teachers at the classroom door, we will no longer be able to allow drinks and snacks to be brought in if we see them at the front gate. This past week we welcomed our new assistant principal, Ms. Barragan. Please say hello if you see her in the office or at one of our events. This is Spirit Week. Thursday is a school holiday and we have our Homecoming football game on Friday. Tickets are available online and during lunch. There are no cash sales at the gate. Wednesday is Senior Return Day and Cap and Gown and Awards pick-up. Look for our SpringFest presentation this year online this week. Friday is the last day of school and Graduation Day. Legacy VAPA will have a new schedule for next year. On the 4x4 schedule, students will be able to earn 80 credits a year and have more opportunities to take electives and intervention/support classes! On MONDAY we will distribute senior shorts to all graduating seniors on Tweedy in front of the Welcome Center from 8:30-9 am and 2:30-3:30 pm.
