The Seahawks closed out their 2023 season with a victory against the Arizona Cardinals. It was a game that played out like most games this season as the defense gave up a lot on the ground, and the offense was able to pull out a late game-winning drive. There's a crude joke from many years ago that led to a word often used on the show for a dominant run performance. The Seahawks were 'jellied' by the Steelers this past Sunday and on top of ruining a potential playoff berth, it's also one of the worst ways to lose a football game. For the last three weeks of Seahawks football, it was apparent to anyone watching that they were struggling in the trenches. Just last week the Titans nearly got the win by being able to dominate Seattle in the run game. The Pittsburgh Steelers saw that and took full advantage of it in their 30-23 victory over Seattle in Week 17. The Steelers secured another winning season for their head coach Mike Tomlin and it puts into question whether or not Pete Carroll will be able to lead Seattle to a winning season. In the 20-17 win against the Tennessee Titans, we saw some of the inconsistencies of the season continue. Fortunately, it still allowed for the Seahawks to get the win and part of that was attributed this past week to the amount of time Pete Carroll focuses on the two-minute offense.   There's one aspect of the late-game offense that is different and Pete was asked this week why the team leads the league in throws to the sidelines. The answer was not satisfactory. There are two big matchups to watch coming up against the Steelers on Sunday. Mike Tomlin is also looking to continue a career milestone that is coming down to the final two games of the season. Mason Rudolph is set to get the start in place of Kenny Pickett after putting up 30+ against the Bengals. We discuss what went into the Steelers success last week. Both the Seahawks offensive and defensive lines struggled against a more physical opposition for most of the game. Derrick Henry reminded us that he could still be the same guy who was as tough to bring down as in previous matchups. Fortunately, the Seahawks reminded us that if they have a shot to win the game in the fourth quarter that they're going to take it. After being knocked back from the goal line on a second down run, Geno Smith found Colby Parkinson in the end zone. Despite being mugged, Parkinson came down with the go-ahead touchdown.
