Even if their top wideout sits out, we should learn some things about the Seahawks secondary vs Matt Stafford. Cam Akers rushed for more than 100 yards against the Seahawks defense last year. It gives Bobby Wagner the perfect opportunity to draw a contrast to last year's squad. We'll also learn some things about the Rams if Geno takes the opportunity to go after this young secondary. Jake Bobo did it! An undrafted wide receiver we were all rooting for actually pulled it off. But even though Bobo pulled through, there were some other cuts who we wanted to make the 53-man roster. Adam and Brandan go through the cuts, discuss which areas of the team have the strongest depth and which ones could still use some help as the Seahawks head into the regular season. Plus, with a few injuries, we could see some of our preseason favorites back on the 53 later on this week.

With one week left to go in the preseason, our earlier hopes of maintaining health on the roster have not held up. Only a few rookies from the draft class have seen time in both preseason game, and the two first round picks are projected to miss time in the regular season. Injuries at wide receiver could make it easier for at least one of the preseason crushes to make the 53-man roster. Drew Lock has played well this preseason and even has some fans wondering if he could be better than Geno. But is there anything that Drew could do at this point to play his way into the starting lineup? Who else could play their way into a roster spot in the game coming up against the Packers? It's a new winners and loser format for the postgame show this week! We talk about four of the game's top performers and four aspects of the game we'd like to see improvement on. Brandan is flying solo this week on this postgame recap as the Seahawks picked up the 22-14 victory over the Dallas Cowboys. Despite some early mistakes from the Seahawks, we saw some shining moments from Boye Mafe, Devin Bush, and some of the rookies on the defensive line. We also saw poise from Drew Lock as he was able to come back from a 0-10 deficit to take the lead before handing over the reigns to Holton Ahlers. With one preseason game down, we're ready to see some starters against the Cowboys in Week 2. Mike Jackson wants to matchup against Brandin Cooks and now he could have the opportunity. But we also want to see Riq and Spoon matching up against Gallup and CeeDee. With players nursing preseason injuries, we may not get what we want. The ultimate thing that could happen is some sadness from Jerry Jones over the outlook of the Cowboys season. Things got off to a good start for the NFC West as a whole. The Niners lost big, the Rams lost big and the Cardinals needed to rally in the fourth to beat the Broncos. A Pokemon pack opening former linebacker and a new face fad need to Do Better. This 2023 season is about to begin! So what do we expect from our Seattle Seahawks this season? First off, the Seahawks have a much different quarterback situation this year than they do last year. We talk about Geno Smith and how our expectations have shifted since this time last year. One of the reasons why we're optimistic about Geno is because of all of the players in the supporting cast. Seattle has a potential star at running back with Kenneth Walker to go with a pair of receivers who don't get nearly enough credit nationally. Reflecting back to last year's defensive performance, there is one area where we want to see a repeat and one thing that has to chance for the team to have success. If the Seahawks can keep their sack numbers around where they were last year, that would be a huge help. But if they can't rebound from being the third worst team against the run, then it's going to be another long year defensively.
