Ephesians 5:8-14 Paul challenges the believers to walk as Children of Light.  We are to be in the world, but not of the world.  We are to impact the world rather than have the world impact us.  Our challenge is to reflect the light of Christ to those around us.

Ephesians 5:3-7 Paul's reminds us to act in ways that reflect the moral standards that God has established.  In our actions and our words, we are to reflect God.  Thankfulness is a key to becoming the mature Christians God desires for us to become.  May your presence be refreshing to the people God brings into your life this week.   

Ephesians 5:1,2 - This week you will have numerous opportunities to love others.  You can focus on your rights and comfort or you can step out and serve others.  You can choose to view life from the eyes of others or focus on your needs.  We are called to mimic God - God wants us to walk in love so that people will see God in our actions.  Walk in Love this week.The 6 minute video clip can be viewed at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qftpoMfe08&t=163s

Ephesians 4:32 - We put on kindness, compassion and forgiveness as God's children.  We do not forgive because we feel like forgiving, we forgive because we have been forgiven.  Forgiveness is setting someone free and finding out person set free is yourself

Ephesians 4:30,31 - Paul encourages us to not grieve the Holy Spirit.  Grieving the Holy Spirit is not about us hurting God, it is about a God who hurts for us. The best check of our heart is to look at our speech.  Our speech is a reflection of what is happening within our hearts.  We must be honest with ourselves in order to change our speech from the inside out.  

Ephesians 4:28, 29 - As Christians, we walk differently and we talk differently.  This week you have an opportunity to be generous or to be stingy.  You have an opportunity to build up people with your words or tear them down.  God wants us to put off the old and put on the new.  As we do that, God is glorified and people are ministered to with grace and truth.  

Ephesians 4:25-27 - As believers, we stop lying and become people of truth.  We speak the truth in a loving way.  We get angry at the right things and allow our anger to be a springboard to deal with righteous issues.  We are not known as people of anger, but as people who love righteousness and God.  

Ephesians 4:22-24 - As believers, we are to think and act differently from the world.  This requires constantly "putting off" the old way of thinking and acting.  Instead, we act differently and "put on" the new man.  We display God's  workmanship in our lives.  We walk as people of the way, representing God's truth as we live.  

Ephesians 4:17-21 - We are reminded that God expects us to be different from the world.  We are not better, but we do have a better way of living.  We live with tender hearts to the purpose, direction, and leading of God.  We must guard our thinking and hearts and keep them sensitive to the things of God.

Ephesians 4:14-16 - God desires and demands that we grow as believers.  This is a slow but progressive process.  We learn and apply God's truth to our lives and speak the truth in a loving way to others.  We center our lives on what Christ desires for us and involve ourselves in helping others grow.  We work together in serving God. 

Ephesians 4:11-13 - When God saved you, he also gifted you. He has a place in the body that is specifically designed for you to fill. It is your job to discover that gift and allow God to use you to grow His church. Brenda Campbell Anderson gave a testimony of her journey after being diagnosed with a brain tumor. We continue to hold her family in our prayers. Brenda was one of the teens who was in Pastor Jim's youth group years ago. She is also the daughter of Connie Campbell who is part of our church family. Ephesians 4:7-10 - We are reminded of 2 gifts God has given to us. Our salvation and the ability to serve God in a unique way. It is our responsibility to seek the way that God wants to use us as we serve God by serving others.

Ephesians 4:4-6 - Paul explains clearly that God has already established the basis for unity that exists among genuine Christ followers. He challenges us to focus on peace because of these 7 areas. As believers, we work together in unity to take the message of Christ to the world.

Ephesians 4:1-3 = Paul challenges the people to walk in a way that reflects genuinely following Jesus Christ. We are challenged to be humble, gentle, loving, patient and walk in the unity that already exists in Christ. The goal of the church is to reflect and show the world what Christ looks like. Since Christ is not here physically, they must see Christ in Us.

Ephesians 3:20,21 = Paul reminds these people that God can do more than we ask or think. We have to focus on His glory and our trust in Him that He will get us through our circumstances and situations.

Ephesians 3:14-19 = Paul's prayer is that the Ephesians people understand God's love for them. He wants their lives rooted and sourced in that love. He wants their hearts to be a place that God is comfortable living within. He desires for His children to grow up strong and handle life well. Make your heart and life a place where God is comfortable this week.

Ephesians 3:8-13 = Paul is amazed that God has saved him and is using him. He realizes his sufferings are an opportunity for the gospel to move forward. His focus is on how God can use his circumstances. "Why is this happening to me" is seen through the eyes of how God can be glorified. Paul does not focus on how can Paul be spared hardship. May we have the same attitude through our struggles in life.

John 14 - Too many people think church and Christianity is about religion. Christianity is about a person - Jesus Christ. At its core is a belief that Jesus is the ONLY way to God. It changes and affects every aspect of your life. Religion says there are many ways to God. Jesus and "little Christs" (or Christians) realize there is only 1 Way to God. The way - through Christ alone.

Ephesians 3:1-7 - Paul explains why "bad" things have happened to him. He does not see them as bad things. Instead, Paul focuses on the grace of God and God's plan and purpose in his suffering. God wants to use each of us this week and God never intends a hurt to be wasted. It is up to us to allow God to use our life to be a blessing to others
