Luke 2 - God cares about each of us and He humbly came so that we may possess eternal life with Him. We must make a place for God and allow our relationship with Christ to feed our soul and direct our life. This was a short message at the end of our yearly Christmas program. Our normal Sunday series was not recorded due to some technical issues.

Luke 1:67-79 - Zacharias reminds us that God fulfills His promises. It requires patience on our part and trust that God will accomplish His plans in His time. We are now the messengers to the world of Peace and Hope.

Luke 1:42-55 - When Mary's world turned upside down, she does not panic. Instead she worships. She focuses on her relationship to God and the fact that God has chosen to use her. She understands that God is in control and that this event has not taken Him by surprise, but is part of a thing much bigger than her. She praises the fact that God is a faithful God who keeps His promises.

Matthew reminds us that every person has value to God and that Jesus died for the whole world. There is nothing you can do that is beyond the reach of God's love for you. Jesus chooses Matthew to remind us that we all have hope and a future in Christ.

Nathaniel's life reminds us the danger of prejudice. Fortunately, he did not allow his preconceived ideas to hinder God working in his life. We must strive to do the same. We must also realize that we all grow at different rates in our Christian life. So we must be patient with one another and allow God room to work and grow.

Phillip's life teaches us that it is okay to struggle. The Christian life is a process, a journey. It is not a destination. In that journey we have to be careful about missing the big picture and not seeing the opportunities in front of us. As you follow Christ this week realize this is a step by step and day by day journey.

John's life is a life on contrasts. While he is often passionate in his reactions, he is also passionate in his love for Jesus. He reminds us that this world is not our home and that better days are coming. He learns to balance truth with love and is a great example of someone who models the teachings of Jesus.

James teaches the importance of tempering our passion with love. Jesus uses his life to show the importance of humility in service. James is a great example of following Jesus no matter what the cost.

Andrew - He allows God to use him to bring others to Jesus. He focuses on the possibilities instead of the problems and reminds us that every role is important in the kingdom of God and we must all do our part.

Peter - God teaches us that willingness to be used and a desire to submit to God are essential to God using us. We will struggle, but we can also overcome and allow God to turn our weaknesses into strengths. Allow God to use you this week.

2 Thessalonians 3:6-18 - We are must appreciate the opportunity we have to work. It is a gift from God and the ministry to which we are called. We have to do the hard work of discipline in our lives and be people of grace & peace. We have to keep doing right and not grow weary in doing the right thing.

Luke 6 - God entrusted the greatest message in the world to 12 ordinary men. He does the same thing today and wants to use each of us. He uses ordinary people who have a teachable spirit and are committed fully to Him. Let Him use you this week.

2 Thessalonians 3:1-5 - We are reminded that prayer is an essential need in the life of every believer. In order for God to be glorified in our lives, we must stay faithful and continue to have confidence in the future God has promised to believers. Above all, we must focus on the love that God has demonstrated to each of us.

2 Thessalonians 2:13-17 - Paul reminds believers that God loves them and has not abandoned them. His focus is for them to experience His glory in their lives. Believers need to ground themselves in the teachings of Christ. What we believe should shape the way we live each day.

2 Thessalonians 2:1-12 - Paul reminds us that Satan is at work. Our job as a church and a Christian is to be a restraining influence in our society. It is also to stand and embrace the truth that Jesus shared.

2 Thessalonians 1 - God wants to use you, but you have to allow Him to work. You have to trust Him and allow Him to impact every area of your life. He is faithful and He never quits trying to work His plan in your life. And as a church family we should all be working together to accomplishes His purposes in our lives as well.

1 Thessalonians 5:19-21 - Paul reminds us of the value of a focused life. A life that embraces the good things and reject the unhealthy things will produce a well lived life. That type of life demands that we listen to God's Spirit and live in obedience to His word.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 - Paul writes to help these people develop a deep inner strength that helps in times of difficulty. A heart of gratitude, a day encompasses a prayerful attitude, and heart that rejoices in Who God is and what He has done strengthens your inner soul. They are 3 elements essential to Christian growth.

Ephesians 2:8,9 - Context is everything - It is our prayer and desire that everyone place their trust in Jesus Christ as their personal Savior. You will not earn your way into heaven. The only way to God is through by grace through Faith in Christ. We want to help you do that - it is why we exist as a church.
