Production has wrapped on the live action Full Metal Alchemist film. News Netflix is making a Death Note movie The story and character designers for the original anime have been given credit on IMDB for the story and characters, so we shouldn't expect them to stray away too much from the original plot. However, the movie is takes place in The U.S., so some names have been altered. Light's last name is now Turner, opposed to Yagami, and Misa has had her name changed to Mia. Death Note: Light Up the NEW World is a live action film taking place 10 years after the events in the original Death Note. Misa, Ryuk, and Touta Matsuda, the seemingly naïve member of the task force will reprise their roles in this upcoming film. The film premieres on October 29 th in Japan this year. Makoto Shinkai His passion for his work stems from the manga, anime and novels he saw in middle school. His favorite anime is Castle in the Sky by Hayao Miyazaki. Some people call him “The New Miyazaki”. Shinkai worked at a video game company called Falcom from 1994-2001 where he made video clips for games. During his time at Falcom, Shinkai met Tenmon, who scores a lot of Shinkai's current films. In 1999, Makoto Shinkai released She and Her Cat winning several awards. For the first time ever the room is a tolerable heat, the guys have managed to talk for less then 2 hours.
