Circuit Riders Podcasts

Michael and Yasmin Pierce address the topic of racism head on, not from a political stand point, but a biblical one. Michael speaks from the book of Revelation to show why the sin and injustice of racism is so heavy on our King's heart. He emphasizes that the culmination of the entire storyline of the Bible, everything Jesus died for, is for the voice and worship of people from every ethnicity, every tribe and tongue. Michael highlights the wealth and richness of black voices throughout the scriptures and we learn that the black man was the first to show what it means to take up his cross and follow behind Jesus. Yasmin invites us to respond and step into Jesus' solution for racism by fighting for every minority voice.

Nick Brennt continues to engage us on the topic of racism. We see biblically that Jesus is the reconciler and we learn from the life of Martin Luther King that peace is not the absence of tension but the presence of justice. Nick emphasizes the need to tear down any generational patterns of white supremacy, even if its the last roots in our own hearts, as we work towards actively being an anti-racist generation. We are challenged to have the courage to humble ourselves to make things right and are given key practicals to help us move forward.
